So, bout nine months have passed since my last entry, and there've been some changes, so I thought in the spirit of the whole gig, I'd update my long-lost Deviant Art page with more information.

I've officially graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art: Specialization: Drawing, and a minor in Computer Science. That said, I'm still not exactly a great artist - great on the theory, sure, good at critique, but not even close to a great draftsman yet. Wish I'd taken a technical drawing course...

However, that didn't stop me from purchasing a Wacom 21UX tablet monitor. Took pretty much my life's savings, but having an all-digital workflow is incredible. My new job, though, has me on overtime until nobody-knows-when, so I don't exactly get much time to use it...

Throw in a couple computer failures since last we met, the fact I really haven't drawn since then either, and you'll understand why the state of my art is pretty jumbled. Now that things are cooling down a little, though - I have an apartment, roommates, a (mostly) steady job, and a bit of cash flow - all I'm missing is time.

This tablet is really incredible, though. You'd better believe at near two-grand, I near put the thing in a sealed vault every night before bed, but the thing's really a piece of work. In fact, it took a while to mention I even bought one - as a hobby artist, basically, spending that much money... I almost think someone's gonna come shank me because I don't honor it properly with good artwork.

We'll see about that... Then again, I always say that. We'll see if I've got the snuff to get my art back together soon enough.
